Mr John MacBean, draper in Aberdare, Wales, & native of Inverness, left £500 to decorate the Council Chamber of Inverness Town Hall, where the British Cabinet met. He died last May & his remains were interred in Tomnahurich. He was aged 60 & a son of Mr William MacBean who was a butcher in Eastgate for many years. He left Inverness 40 years ago
